With Tramon Mark (Dickinson High School), the University of Houston is getting an elite scorer with the ability to step up his game as an impact player early in his career. His smooth game and effortless scoring ability make him a threat once his crosses mid-court. He can create off the bounce and finish in traffic but his most dangerous asset is his long frame allowing him to get a shot off over the defense without hindrance. With the 25-foot range on his jumper, the deeper college 3-point line won't be a big challenge for Mark and his supreme confidence as a scorer translates well from year to year.

Mark sometimes plays with a lower motor than many would desire, but Coach Sampson and the natural transition to college will demand him to play with his fire burning at all times. When he plays with that spark at the high school level, he is a threat to take over the game and score as much and whenever needed. His slender frame will need some added pounds to take the more physical college game, but his ability to slash and avoid contact make him a natural scorer that will be able to adjust and thrive under the bright lights of Cougar basketball.
