Class of 2022 Rankings

Frisco - Nothing has been smooth thus far for Richardson High as they only have played two games to this point. Tuesday night, a team that has the Dallas-Metroplex buzzing is Frisco Memorial, and they gave Richardson all they could handle and forcing Richardson to close out the game at the free-throw line.

Drew Steffe was the player of the game and hit big shot after big shot to keep Memorial in the game, and he brought his team back from an early 18-4 deficit.

Still, the combination of the No.2 ranked Cason Wallace and No.6 ranked Rylan Griffen in the class of 2022, served as enough to take home the win, 62-57.

Coach's Corner... Kevin Lawson talks about the win over Memorial...

"We got out to a great start and we were very excited to be on the court," said Coach Lawson about his team’s 18-4 first-quarter lead. " I thought that we lost a little bit of focus after having a nice size lead and you can't do that against a team like [Memorial]. I think what we have to do is simple. Make plays and shots. Still, it's hard against a team that is going to fight you till the end. And Memorial is a great team. They are going to win a lot of games and they have played a tough schedule. Overall, this was good for us to have to battle for a win to get us going."
