Texas Hoops hit the road over during the first full tourney weekend of the season and was able to make stops in Houston, San Antonio and Fort Worth. We take a look at the top performers and future stars we were able to see from these events...
LJ Cryer - Put on the best performance of the weekend. An efficient and easy 44 point game. He got in a rhythm from the arc and knocked down 3s with ease, scored on an assortment of floaters and runners and still was able to distribute to others. 44 without many bad shots or possessions.
Keyonte George - Its really not fair. Anytime you see him he will make your starting 5. Another 30 point effort with the defense keying on him. He has the body to take the pounding that every team is throwing at him.
Hayden Brittingham - A physical force on the court. The question is where does he translate into the college game but it doesn't matter. He uses his body and explosive leaping ability to dominate around the rim. Just put him on the court and his presence and production will be known.
Alex Anamekwe - The young paint player is a play-making specialist. He is a quick leaper with a nose for the ball and quick bounce off the court with 2nd and 3rd leaps in his legs. He is an excellent finisher as he elevates to the rim and finishes over the defense. He is gets loose rebounds, finishes quickly, blocks shots at the rim and runs the floor.
Devon Hancock - An explosive scoring guard who can get his points from the arc with a smooth stroke or attacking and finishing with an impressive body in traffic. He is quick to the rim with a high finish, has a strong body and can create his own shot.
