TexasHoops was in the house on Monday covering events in Frisco as the Lone Star Classic and Mavs Fall Classic were in neighboring gyms and hosting some of the top teams in the DFW metroplex.
Donte Coady - A wiry and active athlete who finishes with quick bounce and energy in the lane. He gets off the floor easily and finishes over the rim regularly. He uses his quickness around the rim to beat bigger bodies and can step out and shoot it from 3 or take a interior defender off the dribble from the arc and finish in traffic.
Greg Brown - Simply put an elite talent and star whenever he plays. He packed the gym in Frisco as people stayed around to see his game and he didn't disappoint. He quickly take a loose ball in the open court and finished with a windmill through the legs dunk only to follow that up with 3 straight triples from long range. Foul trouble slowed down his game but overall a typical elite performance.
Quinntez Grimes - A lean paint player with good hands and a basketball frame that can add weight and strength. He is a good finisher who keeps the ball high in traffic, rebounds well with his length and quickness off the floor and moves well for his size. He keeps getting better and shows the talent to be a interior player who impacts the game at both ends.
Vincent Sigona - While everyone was in the gym to see the Greg Brown show, Vinny stepped up his game and made big shots and aggressive drives to the hole. He has a smooth stroke from the arc with an easy release and is a crafty finisher for his size. He plays with confidence and a strong belief in his game. A true "coach's son" player who gets the game at both ends.
Obi Onyia - The shifty guard is very smooth on the ball and has a very good feel for the game. He is fast with the ball in the open floor and can get his shot off with a quick release. He can shoot it from the arc off the bounce or attack the lane and score against bigger bodies in traffic. He filled it up with 25 points including 5 from the arc.
