OFFERS: Army (West Point), Naval Academy (Navy)

Blue's Baseline View:

Max Abmas has been one of the state’s top rising guards, and he has proven that he can carry the load as a floor leader as well as a scorer. Scoring is nothing new for the 6-foot combo guard, who has been a three-point threat during his sophomore and junior seasons at Dallas Jesuit High School while playing under former college coach and player, Chris Hill.

From the start of spring ball on the Great American Shoot-Out circuit, Abmas has continued to show his touch from behind the three-point arc and has been one of the top scorers in GASO this spring/summer. Abmas, who plays for 3D Sports has also shown his versatility as a lead ball handler, though you would like him to be more off the ball to get open looks and drill the long shot, Abmas is willing to do what is needed.

Recently, Abmas flashed his point guard skills for his 3D Sports team at the Bryan/College Station GASO, finding his open teammates and making the smart easy play. His discipline can be traced back to high school as he plays with other scores and shooters.

Abmas, in his words

I feel great and confident heading into the July live periods. I feel it will be great not only for myself but for our team as well. When I get on the court, I’m going to show recruiters that I can play. I feel I do a great job on scoring the ball, getting my teammates involved, defending, and just being a leader for my team on the court and that’s what I want to show recruiters this summer, that I can play at the next level.

3D Sports Program Director, Kevin Butler
