Texas Impact 4:13 80 Yes II Success 65

Texas Impact bounced back after an opening day loss to Team Boost with a rousing 15-point victory over a Yes II Success team without Charles Bassey. Marcus Hill (Jesuit 2018) looked to have put a shaky shooting night behind him with a 16-point first half including 4 threes. Hill finished with 23, while Xavier Bryant (Greenhill 2018) did what he does best and sliced his way through the defense for 17. Bonham's Wyatt Dolberry (2018) had a breakout game for Impact, scoring 11 and showcasing a polished game in front of college coaches. Ousman Ndim (St. Anthony's 2018) is still a little raw offensively but looks to have found a go-to move in his running hook. Ndim scored 13 in the game, with Chris Mullins (Mansfield Timberview 2018) also scoring 13, and Montre Gipson (Waxahchie 2018) posting a team-high 15.

Texas Hardwood Prospects Elite 71 The BluePrint5 33

THP Elite turned a close game into a blowout with a dominant performance in the second half of their pool play contest with The BluePrint5. Lamar commit Davion Buster (Laner 2018) paced THP with a cool 16-point game with Mark Wilson (Reagan 2017) totalling 15. Hendrickson 2019's Dylan Disu and Isaac Bullard are still developing prospects but played well in combining for 16. The BluePrint battled for a half, but just could not put the ball in the hole in a 4-point second half effort. Caleb Jordan (Midlothian 2018) scored all of his team high 11 points in the first period.

San Antonio GATA V 52 Louisiana Select Team Millsap 49

San Antonio GATA rallied back from a 9-point halftime deficit to defeat Louisiana Select Team Millsap on a late game-winner from Zach Keller (SA Johnson 2019). Avantae Bell (SA Madison 2018) showed up in a big way for GATA with a 17-point outing, with Timmy Benavides running the show for his team and scoring 12 as GATA moved to 2-0 in their pool. Jordan Jones (Union Parish 2018) fired back for Team Millsap with a 17-point game, while Jalen Dalcourt (Lafayette 2018) posted 12.

Sanni Hoops Gold 82 3D Empire 78

Ajare Sanni (Clear Lake 2018) got back to his old self by posting a 24-point performance as Sanni Hoops started off Day 2 with a win over 3D Empire. Sanni was penetrating and finishing and got to the free throw line often, going 8 for 8 from the stripe. Kenny Brown (Pearland 2017) was the chief beneficiary of Sanni's drives, and finished with 15. Ovidio Perez (Pearland 2018) and Riley Abercrombie (Clear Lake 2018) combined for 20 as Sanni Hoops moved to 1-1 on the weekend. While the rest of 3D Empire has struggled this weekend on the offensive end, Carson Hughes (Keller 2018) and Mason Hix (Northwest 2018) have found their rhythm to keep 3D going offensively, scoring 23 and 22 respectively. Braylen Young (Keller Central 2018) hit 3 threes on the way to a 17-point day in the loss.

TJ Ford Austin 67 Basketball Means More 15U Black 64

TJ Ford Austin had to use an extra period to narrowly edge out BMM Black after regular time played to a 60-all tie. Quinton Ford (Copperas Cove 2019) scored 5 of TJ Ford's 7 points in the overtime period to give his team the win, and finished with 11 points in the game. Lake Travis has a pair of lethal 2019s in DJ Thorpe and Garrett Wilson, who can take over games if in the mood, with the two ending up with tallies of 17 and 13 respectively. Duncan Powell (McCowan 2021) had a coming out party of sorts for BMM Black, as he announced himself to recruiters with a virtuoso performance in the second half, where he scored 16 of his 18 points. Quevian Adger (Copperas Cove 2020) was another standout for BMM, scoring 14 in the loss.

Louisiana Roundballers 66 Fort Worth FIRM 41

Louisiana Roundballers jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first half and never looked back in a 66-41 win over Fort Worth FIRM in GASO pool play. Roundballers spread it around on offense, with LeTreavin Black (Fair Park 2018), Calvin Carpenter (Natchitoches 2019), and McCade Marquis combining to score 39 points between them. Jimmie Kelly (Wyatt 2018) answered for FIRM with 11, as Arkansas-Little Rock commit Traylynn Spencer (Wyatt 2018) was held to just 6 in the loss.

Basketball University 17U Gold 90 YGC36 85 F/5OT

In what might have been (unofficially) the longest game in Great American Shoot-Out history, Basketball University Gold held on to beat YGC36 in a fifth overtime period after a very close back and forth contest. The game was played in front of a capacity crowd of fans and an impressive roster of college coaches including the likes of Kentucky's John Calipari and Arizona's Sean Miller.

Basketball University's Souleymane Doumbia (Athlos 2018) missed a pair of free throws and the end of regulation to send the game to overtime, but ended up playing savior to BU as he tipped in a game-tying buzzer beater in 2OT. YGC36 looked like they were about to be knocked off in triple overtime, but Marvins Petion (Homeschool 2018) hit a corner trey to tie it up as time expired. In the fourth overtime, YGC36 raced out to lead by 6, before 6 straight points from Quentin Grimes (College Park 2018) sent things to a 5th OT. With his team up 3, Doumbia came through and redeemed himself by going 2 of 2 from the line to ice the game.

Grimes posted a whopping 33 points in this marathon game, with Doumbia scoring 19 and Texas A&M-bound Sahvir Wheeler (Houston Christian 2018) posting 15. Jalen Wilson (Denton Guyer 2018) had a breakthrough game for YGC36, tying Grimes' total with a 33-point outing. Isaac Likekele (Mansfield Timberview 2019) showed off his great motor and tough finishing skills in a 23-point game, while Petion finished with 7.
