Jayden Martinez is a prospect who has made the most of his opportunities during the spring and the Texas D1 Houston squad is benefitting from Martinez's energy.

Martinez went for 18 points that included a three-pointer in Texas D1 Houston's victory over Lone Star Elite, 64-58.

"It was a tough win," said Martinez. "[Lone Star] had the size advantage but I felt that we did a great job of beating them to the hole."

Martinez moves around and gets easy buckets due to his quickness off the floor and how active he is.

"I saw that they would leave me open and my teammates gave me the ball."

During the past two Great American Shoot-Out's, Martinez has been the spark for Texas D1, and his development has shown with his ability to score and defend. His consistent play has not made him a true contender for a Texas Hoops Top 100 ranking.
