GASO Quarter and Semi-Final Results

Carrollton - In the final Day of the Great American Shoot-Out, players from around the state have stepped up their game. Lyndon Cook catches everyone up to date on what is happening on CHAMPIONSHIP MONDAY.

Dallas Showtyme Elite 56 YGC36 2017 Elite 54

Javon Levi (Killeen Shoemaker 2017) took matters into his own hands to eliminate YGC36 Elite at the buzzer with a crafty Euro-step finish. Levi finished with 11 on the day, while Odessey Keeling (Dallas Kimball 2017) hit 3 treys on the way to scoring 13. Grant Sherfield came out firing for YGC36 Elite as he scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half. Jake Roberts (Denton Guyer 2017) added 12 in the loss. The victory sees Dallas Showtyme Elite move into the Final Four of the Memorial Day GASO.

SwagHouse 63 Triumph Gold 61

Issiah Smith (Skyline 2017) came up with a game-winning (video below) fall-away tip-in as time expired to send SwagHouse into the Final Four and Triumph Gold packing. Donovan Burks (Red Oak 2017) and Marcus Garrett led the way for SwagHouse with 15 a piece, while Smith added 7 of his own. Michael Jankovich (Dallas Jesuit 2018) canned 4 three-pointers as he scored 18 on the day for Triumph.

SABO Gold 75 Texas D1 Ambassadors 17U 74

Down 16 at halftime, it looked like SABO Gold was destined to return to San Antonio and D1 Ambassadors would move on to the Final Four. But along came River Reed with an 18 point second half, propelling SABO to a win in their Elite 8 game. The 6'9 2017 out of SA Reagan finished with 24 and was aided by the sharpshooting of UTEP commit Kobe Magee (SA Brandeis), who had 11. Alec Seyfetdinov (Plano West 2017) and Kelden Pruitt (Rockwall-Heath 2017) each scored 17 for D1 Ambassadors in the loss.

Texas Impact 4:13 72 D1 Premier Hall 66

Texas Impact 4:13 rounded out the Final Four of the NBA Championship bracket with a 6 point triumph over D1 Premier Hall. Xavier Bryant (Greenhill 2018) was high point for Impact, scoring 16 in his team's win. Cam Christon (Allen 2017) hit 4 treys for 12 points, while Colin Hadnot (Timberview 2016) added 11. Gabe Tanella (Homeschool 2017) paced D1 Premier with 16, with Josh Richardson (Prestonwood 2017) contributing 13 to his team's effort.

SABO Gold 72 SwagHouse 53

River Reed (Reagan 2017) came to play on GASO Championship Monday, scoring 16 points to take SABO Gold into the championship at the expense of SwagHouse. Kobe Magee (SA Brandeis 2017) dropped 20, including 11 made free throws, while Parker Gettys (New Braunfels 2017) hit 3 threes on the way to 11 points. SwagHouse actually led the game for a good part of the first half, before a SABO run effectively took SH out of contention. Marcus Garrett (Skyline 2017) ended an impressive tournament with a 14 point outing, while teammate Trae Jones (WF Hirschi 2017) also had 14 in SwagHouse's semi-final loss.

Dallas Showtyme 57 Texas Impact 4:13 50

Zay Booker (Irving Macarthur 2017) drained 3 treys on 3 straight possessions for Dallas Showtyme as part of a first half surge that saw his team wrest away control of the game from Texas Impact and coast to a 7 point semi-final victory. Odessey Keeling (Kimball 2017) put in 11 and Javon Levi (Killeen Shoemaker 2017) came up with 8 points to advance to the GASO NBA Championship game. Jaylon Rucker (Frisco Heritage 2017) and Xavier Bryant (Greenhill 2018) scored 9 a piece as Impact was eliminated from the tournament.
