DFW Fall Classic: Difference Makers Pt. 1
Ryan Massad

It was a great first look at what the High School teams had to offer this weekend at the Great American Shoot-Out fall classic. It looked like a lot of these teams haven't missed a beat and there were tons of high-level basketball being played. Below are some of the players that I believe are going to make an impact on their team this season (Part 1 of a 2 part series).

Kendall Alexander 6'5 2022 - McKinney Boyd High School

Kendall has all the tools to be a next-level player. He’s got size, strength, and athleticism. He can put the ball in the basket from 3, mid-range, and at the basket. Defensively, he is a bulldog and he rebounds extremely well. Lastly, he has an edge to him and his toughness sets the tone for the Boyd team. I am very Intrigued by how Kendall will lead his team this season.

Samson Aletan 6'8 2023 - Lake Highlands High School

Samson is a lengthy athlete with soft hands and a nice touch. He finished well around the rim, and he plays the dunk spot well in the Lake Highlands Dribble drive. I also saw him score with his back to the basket a few times, and he made some Impressive passes from the post (see tweet below). Defensively, he is a wall and he uses his length to block many shots. Look for Samson to make an instant impact in anchoring the Lake Highlands defense this season.

Robert Jennings 6'8 2022 - TACA

Robert jumped off the page with top-notch athleticism as he finished at the rim multiple times and flushed a couple of high flying dunks. He also made some set 3’s and showed his ability to stretch the floor, while making a few plays off the bounce. Defensively, he flew around and guarded on the perimeter, and he also showed the ability to be a force in the paint by blocking shots and grabbing a ton of rebounds. Robert Is going to be a big-time difference-maker this season for TACA and I can't wait to see his game continue to develop.
