According to Devon Hancock, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard holds offers from Denver, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Milwaukee, New Hampshire, North Carolina A&T, and Troy.

Hancock also lists Incarnate Word, Kent State, Radford, South Dakota State and Wichita State as all showing interest.

Even with the phone calls, offers, and interest, Hancock says things are at a slow pace.

"[Recruiting] is going kinda slow. I can't judge a school over the phone. I want to wait it out. The key for me is to be patient and not to rush anything."

During the layoff from a typical senior year, Hancock is not wasting his opportunity.

"I am taking each day as a day to work and get better. I am working on getting stronger, quicker and building mental toughness. It's not easy taking a gym rat out of the gym."

As for the unique situation Hancock is in, being an unsigned senior in the midst of a health crisis, he still has perspective.

"This gives me time to excel and pass others who aren't taking advantage of this time to improve. I am not taking this for granted."

Keys to Hancock's Recruitment and more...

Hancock says he is looking for a place where he will have a chance play a key role as he puts the work in.

No School is ahead of the other at this time.

Finally, Hancock is looking for a program that fits his personality, and he wants to have a strong relationship with the head coach. And Hancock wants to be a pro, so he wants a program and coach that will help him accomplish his dreams and aspirations beyond college.
