TexasHoops.com’s Progress Reports series is back, this time focusing on 3 of the most talented signed seniors in Central Texas.

Gerald Liddell - Cibolo Steele - Texas commit

Liddell has been doing what he does best so far this season: putting up numbers and leading his state ranked Steele team to plenty of wins. Liddell powered Steele to a 3rd place finish at the In-N-Out Burger Tournament and was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts. Liddell’s offensive skill level still ranks among the best in the 2018 class, but this year he has shown progress as a shot blocker and rebounder on the defensive end.

TexasHoops Take: Liddell’s almost effortless scoring ability and wide repertoire of skills makes him a great fit for a Texas program enjoying an impressive year so far. With Liddell and Austin Westlake's Brock Cunningham, the Longhorns have 2 legitimate top-5 players in the state for their 2018 recruiting class.

Luke Hamilton - Austin Lake Travis - Mercer commit

While Hamilton’s numbers may not jump out at you on a Lake Travis team absolutely loaded with talent, his ability to space the floor and defend makes him an invaluable cog in the Cavs powerful team. Hamilton’s shooting ability as a 3/4 man opens up the inside for his teammates and he can be counted on to knock down his open looks when they come to him.

TexasHoops Take: Hamilton has all the tools to thrive at Mercer (along with Spring Dekaney’s DJ Peavy), and don’t be surprised to see him play a big part in the 6A region 4 playoff picture.

Daraun Clark - SA Wagner - UC Colorado Springs commit

Clark was having a solid year at 6A power Wagner for the first half of the season, but after a breakout Whataburger tournament he could be primed for plenty of accolades as the season moves into district play. Clark was at his best over the past weekend, drilling the 3 ball at a high clip and being a nuisance for opposing teams on the other end.

TexasHoops Take: UC-CS may have gotten a steal with Clark, the No.41 ranked player in the class of 2018 and one of the state’s best players in the “shooter-with-size” mold.
