R.J. Hampton - Hampton is leading the Dallas metroplex in scoring (25.5 ppg) and after the first half of play versus The Colony, the 6-foot-3 freshman went to the locker room with only eight points, having trouble sinking his threes. It would have seemed like an uphill battle to reach his per game scoring mark, but Hampton got his game together and scored 16 in the second half to finish with 24. He averaged a point per minute to get back on track.

Once he established his game, Hampton was able to use his smooth stroke and hit jumpers. Hampton scored slipping past the defense to score at the rim, nailed a mid-range jumper, hit two 17 footers and connected on two three-pointers. Hampton also added eight rebounds.

Devin Pullum (No.80) - The unsigned senior guard was spectacular last Friday night going for 36 points. Pullum showed excellent acceleration in the open court and towards the basket. He scored by splitting defenders on his way to the rim and finishing through contact.

Already establishing himself as one of the Dallas metroplex's top scorers (19 ppg), he is doing it by being versatile in his style of scoring. Yes, Pullum gets to the basket, but he has a great looking touch from the perimeter getting elevation off the floor. Pullum shoots from all over the court as he did against The Colony, hitting shots from the corner, inside the paint off floaters and quick jumpers, and three-pointers from different angles. The Lobos are undefeated in District 14-5A and the senior leadership of Pullum is apparent as his teammates look for him to score.

Tre Williams - When you are trying to win a game you put the ball in your best players hands, allow for as many touches as possible. That's exactly what head coach Cleve Ryan of The Colony tried to accomplish Friday, but the outcome wasn't what the Cougars were looking for.

When Williams wasn't bringing up the ball, he moved around within The Colony's offense setting up on the block to make a power move to score but he couldn't get the ball to find the bottom of the net. Williams was also given wide open looks from behind the three-point line but only hit 2-of-7. He also struggled from the charity stripe where he went 3-for-8.

Overall the talent, size, and ability are there and Williams will continue to be one of the top sophomores in the class. Give credit to the Lobos fans and the crazy enviroment that the student body created.
