Richard "R.J." Johnson was spectacular during the Proskills 16s two pool games and their win over Texas PRO 17s, 57-52 in the first round of bracket (NBA Blue Championship Bracket).

Johnson a 5-foot-8 point guard from Richardson Pearce, was poised, not getting rattled by stronger and more physical opponents. He was quick to the hole finding teammates and getting the ball in the right positions for them to score.

There was some maturity shown throughout the day when C.J. Roberts took the court for Beastmode Grindhouse 17s. The Richland High product displayed how talented he is when all phases of his game are in sync and doesn't allow for his on-court emotions to take over.

Roberts speed to the hole has been unmatched and add his size and athleticism to the mix, and he becomes an unstoppable guard. It's been mentioned several times by TexasHoops.com analyst that Roberts ability to get from point A to B on the court is one of the best parts of his game to create the space he needs to hit his jumpers. Roberts also attacked the basket and finished in traffic with body control. It's fun to see the 6-foot-2 Roberts switch gears and hit the paint to fly to the basket and finish.

Swaghouse Elite made an appearance at the Great American Shoot-Out for one game and Marcus Garrett didn't disappoint. Garrett of Dallas Skyline is an Elite finisher at the rim, taking the ball with long strides to finish off of two dribbles and throwing it down over defenders. The all-purpose guard is smooth and uses his length at both ends of the court.

The development of Tristan Green was noticeable Saturday as the 6-fo0t-8 HARDWORK standout caused bigger defenders to move away from the basket. Green is versatile and mobile. He knocks down threes, rebounds and will work inside. The Boerne Champion High Schooler has soft hands and great footwork.
