Georgia offensive tackle impressed
Carrollton, Ga., offensive tackle Jake Sanders is hard to miss. That comes with the territory when you're 6-foot-6, 320 pounds.
Sanders was one of about 100 recruits who descended upon Tuscaloosa for the University of Alabama's Junior Day.
It's early in the process, but Sanders holds offers from Mississippi State and UCF. He's also been to Georgia's Junior Day.
Overall, Sanders liked with the visit.
"Alabama has an outstanding program," Sanders said. "The facilities are top notch."
The Crimson Tide's new state-of-the-art weight room was one of the highlights for Sanders.
"I met with the new offensive line coach (Mario) Cristobal. I had some great conversations with him."
Sanders didn't get the offer but Alabama wants to see him back this summer for camp.
"I did talk briefly with Coach (Nick) Saban," Sanders said. "He met with me and my parents briefly."
Sanders plans on coming back for Alabama's Offensive/Defensive Linemen Camp this summer.
