Kentucky commit looking at GT

Georgia Tech has put together and impressive offensive line class for 2013 and the Jackets could add one more piece to the puzzle. Kentucky commitment Ramsey Meyers has been flirting with Georgia Tech for some time, but is either party serious?

"Georgia Tech was my school last week. They said that they were really interested and wanted me to come on an official in January," he said. "I haven't decided if I'm going to visit yet, if they offer I probably will though."

Meyers committed to Kentucky in late June, but with Mark Stoops replacing Joker Phillips as the head coach for the Wildcats, there is a lot of uncertainty for Wildcat commits.

"I'm solid to Kentucky as of now, but I think a Georgia Tech offer is close," Meyers told Jacketsonline.com.

Yellow Jacket A-backs coach Lamar Owens has been recruiting Meyers for some time and the six-foot-three guard from Ridgeview (Fla.) appreciates the way Owens has handled a delicate situation.

"Coach Owens is recruiting me from Georgia Tech, I like him a lot," Meyers said. "I like how Georgia Tech runs the ball a lot."

The three-star lineman says he is looking at the overall atmosphere of the school when he signs in February.

"What I want in a school is a good campus, great coaches and great teammates," Meyers said.
