Bulldogs a constant for Willis

Nate Willis has had an ever evolving list of favorites during the recruiting process and was even committed to South Florida at one time.

But one school that has remained a constant through it all was Mississippi State. The Bulldogs were the only school Willis included each time he updated his top teams and were among his finalists when he pledged to the Bulls back in July.

Willis opened his recruitment back up two months later and once again MSU was back at the top.

"They have great coaches and it's just their overall school," Willis said. "A couple of kids from my hometown (Pahokee, Fla.)actually went to Mississippi State. The one that everybody keeps bringing up is Pernell McPhee, who's with the Baltimore Ravens right now. He was a big prospect for Mississippi State and that really played a toll with me because the city where I'm from got a great name at Mississippi State. They are an SEC school and know I'm graduating in May and still want me after everything and welcoming me with open arms."

The six-foot, 180-pound three-star cornerback took his first official visit to Starkville over the weekend and returned to Arizona Western College impressed with his experience.
