July 10, 2011DUNCANVILLE, Texas - Some call it cockiness. Others call it confidence. However you define it, Andrew Harrison feels like Rivals.com got it right when they recently ranked him the No. 1 player in the country in the Class of 2013.
At the 23rd annual Under Armour Great American Shoot-Out, Harrison, his twin brother Aaron Harrison and the rest of the Houston Defenders Select has shown why their team is one of the best in the nation. In turn, Harrison, a 6-foot-5 ?, 210-pound point guard from Fort Bend Travis High School, has shown why he should be at the top spot.
Andrew Harrison led his team to big victories against some of the best teams Texas has to offer on Sunday. His resume includes an amazing ability to find the open man with sharp passes -- often times, no-look passes -- and a desire to play quality defense.
TexasHoops.com Senior Writer Damon Sayles had a chance to sit down with Harrison following the Defenders' pool-play game Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Showtyme Elite.
